Logansport High School proudly announces 1964 graduate Lenny Corso as their newest inductee into the Hall of Distinction. Lenny is a Vietnam-era veteran who served with the U.S. Army and the 3rd Special Forces Group as a "Green Beret" medic from 1966 to 1969. After receiving his honorable discharge, he returned to college to earn a Bachelor's degree in Health Science from Indiana State University, a Master's degree from Ball State University in Physiology and Health Science, and then earned a medical certificate as a Physician Assistant from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He worked for ten years as a Physician Assistant in occupational medicine before moving into pharmaceutical sales for nearly 20 years. Currently, he is an adjunct professor at Ivy Tech Community College in Valparaiso, IN. He has been teaching Advanced Human Physiology to nursing and health career professionals for the past 17 years. Lenny played a significant role in establishing the Logansport High School Military Wall of Honor. His contributions to the healthcare field, community, and nation reflect the school's loyalty, honor, and service values. The school will formally recognize Lenny during the 153rd Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, June 2, at 2:00 p.m. in the Berry Bowl.

REMINDER to ALL Seniors: New legislation requires ALL Seniors to complete the FAFSA or complete the OPT-OUT Form for the FAFSA. If you are over 18 you can complete the opt-out form on your own, if you are under 18 parents are required to sign the FAFSA opt out form. Tomorrow we will have the Director of Financial Aid from Ivy Tech and personnel to assist you and your parents all day and in the evening from 3:30-7:00. PLEASE Bring your parents- FAFSA OPT-OUT Form/ FAFSA completed by April 15!

The junior class is taking the state mandated digital SAT exam on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, from 8:35 am to early afternoon. After the exam, juniors can grab-and-go lunch at dismissal. For those who can't leave campus or need transportation assistance, there will be a supervised study hall available until regular bus service resumes at 3:25 pm. On this day, students in grades 9, 10, and 12 will have eLearning activities to complete from home while juniors take their exams at school.

Logansport High School proudly announces the inauguration of its "Military Wall of Honor," a distinguished display commemorating the loyalty, honor, and service of LHS graduates who have taken the Oath to serve in the United States Armed Forces. This tribute extends to individuals who have served in various branches including the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, and National Guard, in capacities ranging from enlistment to commissioning as Officers, National Guard duty, or service in the Reserves.

Over the weekend, the LHS Drama Club and McHale Tech Crew excelled at the Thespian State Conference. Aiden Snoeberger earned a Superior Ranking and was named "Best in Show for Lighting Design" for his SpongeBob Musical creation. Kelsey Thomas and Layla Powell received Superior Rankings for vocal performance, while Colby Anderson achieved a Superior Ranking for SpongeBob Musical Sound Design. This top-tier ranking qualifies them for the International Thespian Festival. Additionally, in the Tech Challenge, Logansport High School dominated, securing 1st and 2nd places out of 24 teams. Valeria Cortes, Veda Fagner, Shelby Ping, and Justin Snay claimed 1st place, while Colby Anderson, Eli Bault, Jordin Cunningham, and Aiden Snoeberger secured 2nd place.
