Welcome to Logansport High School!

Logansport High School has an impressive history of excellence that stretches back more than 150 years. The first three graduates, Ann Covalt, Sallie Horn, and Sadie Clendenning, received their diplomas in 1871 at the Mesodian Opera House. As a proud Berry and a graduate of the class of 1991, I am truly honored to serve as the principal of my alma mater for the past thirteen years. The LHS community takes great pride in the unique traditions of our school, from Felix the Cat to the nickname Berries.

LHS is recognized as a leader in academics, career readiness, fine arts, and athletics. Our students excel across all areas of study, thanks to our consistently rigorous and challenging curriculum. The Century Career Center is also a vital part of the LHS campus, providing diverse learning opportunities for our students. We aim to ensure that every Berry who graduates from 1 Berry Lane is enrolled, employed, or enlisted. Our partnerships with Indiana University, Ivy Tech Community College, Ball State, and Vincennes have allowed LHS students to earn over 4000 dual credits last year, saving them over $1,200,000 in potential tuition costs.

At LHS, we are an Early College High School. This model is designed to prepare students for postsecondary success, allowing them to earn a diploma and up to two years of credit toward a bachelor's or associate degree while still in high school. Although open to all students, Early College aims to support low-income young people, first-generation college students, and English language learners who are underrepresented in higher education.

Our Administrative Team is committed to providing students with a safe and positive learning environment. We are grateful for the support of our staff, parents, and the entire school community, whose active involvement is essential to the success of our students. I am confident that the LHS Class of 2025 will be well-prepared for college and careers, and they will continue to be leaders in their communities long after leaving the halls of LHS.

Wishing everyone a great year ahead, and go, Berries!
