As our teachers continue to work toward helping our students succeed in the classroom, Logansport Community School Corporation has planned a Professional Development Day for all LCSC staff members on Wednesday, February 5. On that day, students will not attend school. Classes will resume as usual on Thursday, February 6, 2024.
WIDA testing for English Learners will take place on Monday, January 27, and Wednesday, January 29, during 5th–7th periods. Students required to test have been informed by their 5th-period teacher.
Non-testing students must check in with their 5th-period teacher on both days. At check-in, the teacher will provide a personalized pass for dismissal through Door 1/Main Entrance. Non-testing students who need to stay on campus until 3:25 for bus transportation can use the cafeteria as a study hall.
All non-testing students must complete 5th, 6th, and 7th-period assignments asynchronously on January 27 and 29. Students who fail to check in with their 5th-period teacher will be marked absent for 5th, 6th, and 7th periods.

Logansport High School’s Unified eSports team has made history! The team captured the state championship title in Rocket League with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Hebron High School, showcasing their incredible teamwork, strategy, and determination.

Annual Senate Enrolled Act 355 Child Abuse Instruction
Dear Parent or Guardian,
The Indiana General Assembly passed legislation regarding child abuse instruction. Senate Enrolled Act 355 requires that annually, by December 15, the school will provide age-appropriate instruction on child abuse and sexual abuse prevention to students through grade 12.
Indiana currently has no research and evidence-based curriculum developed to meet this requirement for high school students. Therefore, we will meet this requirement by sharing two videos that define and clarify the topics of consent and give specific scenarios for students to understand what consent is and is not.
If you feel that your child should not participate in this program, please contact LHS administration to request an opt-out permission slip. If you have additional questions about the legislative requirement, feel free to reach out to me, Mr. Michael Miller, Mrs. Shanel Fretwell, or Mr. JD Dubes.
