Logansport High School students kicked off their participation in Indiana University Kokomo’s Tomorrow’s Teachers: Growing Your Own program, designed to inspire and prepare future educators within the local community. This program, a collaboration between the IU Kokomo School of Education and local school districts, offers students early exposure to the teaching profession through on-campus sessions and school-based field experiences.
Participants benefit from hands-on classroom experiences in P-8 settings, dual-credit courses, and on-campus networking activities. This program helps students explore their passion for teaching and provides a pathway to earn college credits while still in high school. Through this initiative, Logansport is fostering the next generation of educators to meet local staffing needs.
