We are inviting everyone to be part of something new and exciting…Participating in our first-ever Advanced Manufacturing Night - “Promoting the Skilled Trades” on Friday, January 26, 2018 in the Berry Bowl. Our Berry boys will be taking on the Marion Giants at 7:30PM in a key North Central Conference matchup.

At Logansport High School, promoting Advanced Manufacturing is a high priority. With the attached Century Career Center, our students have wonderful opportunities to focus on a career pathway, and one of those pathways is Advanced Manufacturing. Due to a shortage of highly-skilled workers in Advanced Manufacturing in the state of Indiana and nationally, we strive to encourage more students into the skilled trades and fill the gap.

In addition to watching a good basketball game, it is an evening for students and parents to hear and meet local and regional businesses and education to talk about careers in the advanced manufacturing field and job opportunities in our attached Auxiliary Gym- Start to build relationships with businesses, and who knows…Maybe even get the inside track to an internship or a job in the future.

This special evening of promoting workforce development programming for K-12 has even caught the attention of Governor Eric Holcomb, Senator Randy Head, and Logansport Mayor Dave Kitchell who will all be in attendance. Workforce development in Advanced Manufacturing is high on the agenda at the Statehouse and locally.
